The 2018 FIFA World Cup will be the 21st FIFA World Cup, a quadrennial international football tournament contested by the men's national teams of the member associations of FIFA. It is scheduled to take place in Russia from 14 June to 15 July 2018 in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kazan, Sochi, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don, Kaliningrad, Ekaterinburg and Saransk cities.
The final tournament will involve 32 national teams, which include 31 teams determined through qualifying competitions and the automatically qualified host team. A total of 64 matches will be played in 12 venues located in 11 cities. The final will take place on 15 July in Moscow at the Luzhniki Stadium.
For individuals involved… in the preparations for and running of the World Cup, including accredited journalists, the Government of the Russian Federation confirms the possibility of multi-entry visa-free entry to Russia.
The procedure for visa-free entry: fans can enter the country with a personal spectator card, also known as a FAN ID. As well as a FAN ID, it will be necessary to present a document proving one's identity that is recognized by Russia as being valid for such purposes, and an entry ticket to a match or a document providing the right to receive such a ticket.
